Project Description: This project took a lot of brainstorming because it was hard to put what worldly issues I felt most strongly about into words. But that counts as one of the most important steps in the process as well as creating a sketch that I was proud of. The next step I highly struggled to complete was digitizing it. This whole piece is an overall symbol of social constructs shown only on earth out of the whole universe, to represent how much these issues shouldn't matter considering how big the universe is. We should care more about things we basically know nothing about, for example, so much of the ocean is undiscovered and space for that fact. So why not learn about the planet we were provided life on rather than care more about how someone's skin looks, body, facial features, grades, sexual identity/ orientation, and spending money. Once I received feedback, I added more concepts and details considering people said it didn't look finished and that's when I just had my rough sketch. All in all, the overall meaning of my comic is supposed to be how we have all of these laws and standards every single human is supposed to meet, while each and every one of us is very different and that's what makes us unique. And why do social constructs matter? We are all just an overdeveloped species that shouldn't have as many resources and restrictions as we do.
